Homes that belong
to the mountain.

One design and build team for new custom homes, large remodels, additions, renovations and commercial spaces, from Highlands and Cashiers to Asheville and the Blue Ridge.

The Approach

One team. One point of accountability.
From first sketch to final key.

Pro Property Design Build is the design and build division of Pro Property Services, the Western North Carolina team behind decks, cabin restorations and renovations across these mountains. We bring that same personal craftsmanship to homes of a different scale, with design, engineering and construction held accountable under one roof.

  • Site first

Every plan begins with the land: its light, its slope, its weather and its views.

  • Radical clarity

Transparent budgets, documented decisions and a single point of contact throughout.

  • Craft you can touch

Stone, timber and millwork detailed and built by people who care how it feels in the hand.

Specialty · New Log Home Construction

The log home,
raised to an heirloom.

A great log home is equal parts timber and tolerance. We plan for settling, moisture and mountain weather from the first drawing, then let the material do what it does best: glow.

Signature Project Types

The work we’re built for

The projects our clients ask about most: a stone and timber custom home, a classic mountain craftsman, an estate on a steep mountain lot. Each is designed and built by one team, around one site.

Stone home with board and batten siding, a timber post entry porch and stone steps

New Custom Homes

Stone & Timber Residences

Custom homes built from the ground up in native stone and board and batten siding, with timber post entry porches, deep eaves and plans built around how a family actually lives.

New craftsman home with cedar shake gables, cream siding and a deep front porch on stone piers at golden hour

New Custom Homes

Mountain Craftsman Homes

New homes with the proportions of a classic mountain craftsman: deep front porches, tapered columns on stone piers and shingle and batten siding, built with modern systems inside.

Mountain Estates

Steep Lot Estates

Homes stepped down steep mountain lots, with stacked decks and covered porches that put every principal room up in the fall canopy.

The Blue Ridge

“The mountain writes the brief.
We simply listen carefully.”

The Process

A calm, deliberate path to an extraordinary home.

Building in the mountains rewards preparation. Our process is designed to make the experience as considered as the result.

  1. Listen & Walk the Land

We begin on your property, not in an office: sun paths, prevailing weather, slope, view corridors, access and the way you intend to live there.

  2. Design & Engineer

Architecture, structural engineering and interiors are developed together, so the home you approve is the home that can be built, on the budget you set.

  3. Preconstruction, in Full Daylight

Detailed specifications, an itemized budget and a realistic schedule before ground is broken. Selections are made early, so there are few surprises later.

  4. Build with Care

One accountable lead from foundation to final trim. Regular walkthroughs, photo updates and a clean, respectful jobsite.

  5. Handover & Stewardship

A meticulous final walkthrough, a documented home manual and an ongoing relationship for seasonal care, additions and the decades ahead.

Materials & Craft

Built by hand, detailed by eye.

Our roots are in the trades. Stone, timber, light and weather are the materials of these mountains, and the vocabulary we work in.

Outdoor Living

Where we began: the view.

Long before we built whole homes, we built the places people go to look at the mountains: decks, porches and outdoor rooms. Today they are among the most considered spaces in every home we design: covered terraces, outdoor fireplaces, kitchens and pools that extend the living space into the landscape.

Where We Build

Western North Carolina.
One standard.

Mountain building is its own discipline, with foundations on steep slopes, heavy rainfall, long access roads and community design reviews. We plan for all of it, everywhere we work.

What truly set them apart were the meticulous details that reflected their pride in their work. For example, rather than simply installing the deck rails, they took the extra step of carefully rounding every edge, I mean EVERY edge, demonstrating a level of care and attention that speaks volumes.

Izzy called, texted and sent me pictures and videos of all the work being done. The crews were responsible and kept everything neat and clean. Was very satisfied with the workmanship. I feel like Izzy was family to me because he took care of the remodeling since I live in another state.

“I have to say from start to finish this was the most professional group of people that I've ever worked with. … They were truly up front and honest about everything showed me exactly what the cost on everything was going to be and discussed it with me before they started any further work.”
